Hello, my name is Hyun Oh Lee. Today I invite my friends and play with hwatu all night. Hwatu means ‘fighting flowers’, so hwatu is the flower printed cards. We are going to play ‘Sut-da’ with hwatu which is very famous game in Korea. We will prepare fifty thousand won, respectively. Only one winner will take all money. But winner must buy expensive lunch for losers tomorrow. So, I will be waiting for my guests.
I let you know the basic rule of Sut-da before we begin. Sut-da is similar to Blackjack and Poker. Sut-da uses these 20 cards. It means from January to October, and January is one, Febratry is two, and so on. Furthermore there are 3 hidden cards, 'kwang'.
We take two cards, then add the number and compare my number with other's one. The person who has high number will be winner. However, in Sud da, there are many special cases. If you had 2 ‘kwang’, it means kwang ddeng, most powerful combination in sut da. Next, if you had two same numbers, it means ddenng. High number of ddeng is stronger than low number of ddeng. For example, tem ddeng is stronger than two ddeng. Then 'al-li', 'dok-sa', 'gu-pping', 'jang-pping', 'jang-sa', 'se-ryuk' is strong in order. Now lets start 'Sut-da'.
